Workforce Development

JMG Workforce Liaisons

The JMG Workforce Liaisons provide a systems support approach for students so they have the ability to participate in workplace-based learning opportunities. These opportunities are intended to broaden career exploration and deepen academic experiences that allow students the ability to discover their own interests and aspirations. Our Workforce Liaison team helps establish new and strengthen existing relationships with business and community partners to support JMG's Specialists and Extended Learning Opportunity Coaches as they connect students to opportunities.

How Workforce Liaisons Help

  • Access to the full resources of JMG's Workforce Development team

  • Collaborate together to design innovative local and regional career events

  • Invite Liaisons to participate in existing on-site career awareness events

  • Monitor employer engagement activities on a regional level to ensure employers are not inundated with requests from multiple local teams

  • Promote career-specific pathways

  • Seek assistance to engage with large employers to foster students' career pathways through a variety of experiences
